Learn & Discover with Heritage Eastbourne
Visit us or we can come and see you!
We love working with schools and run a great outreach programme as well as school visits to the Story of Eastbourne exhibition. All education resources are tailored to meet the national curriculum using our excellent collections to cover subjects from pre-history to World War II.
Schools Programme
We visit schools in the East Sussex area to run discussion based outreach sessions bringing our collection items to you, exploring and uncovering the story of Eastbourne and the surrounding area.
We can bring artefacts from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Romans, Saxons, Tudors, Victorians, World War One and Two and a variety of things in between all from the Eastbourne area.
We also offer practical activities including, for the Saxons – shoe making, pottery making and fire making (lots of fun and not nearly as dangerous as it sounds!) as well as Stone Age weaving. Each session is tailored to your needs and requirements.
If you would like to arrange a class tour of the Story of Eastbourne or require outreach sessions please contact us for more details.
