Hunt for Treasures on the Beach
Check the tide times here and head to the wide expanse of beach to hunt for washed up frosted gems of sea-glass, search the rockpools for aquatic life. If you miss the low tide why not hunt the pebbles on the beach for sparkly crystalized ‘magic stones’ – usually found in larger pebbles with indents in them, or the Fairey stones (also known as hag stones) – pebbles with a hole through them that were believed to protect against nightmares.

Take in a Show
The Amateur Dramatics clubs of Eastbourne are exceptionally talented, don’t miss the chance to see one of them Goldsmans Productions who present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Devonshire Park.
The Royal Hippodrome a gem of a theatre in Seaside has a great kids show for half term too Exciting Science for ages 4+.
Or make a night of it and head to the Bandstand for fireworks.
Dotto Returns
Everyone loves the Dotto and it is back! The beloved mini ‘train’ returns more here.
Just Keep Swimming
Aqua Challenge at the Sovereign Centre which returns for the half term, pre-booking essential. The giant inflatable assault course includes slides and plenty of chances to fall into the water! Tickets also include fun-pool session.
Or head to The Blue Lagoon in Hampden Park for some swim time with added benefits of water kept at 33 degrees!
