Christmas is panto time – oh yes, it is – and as well as the traditional pantomime, Eastbourne theatres have plenty of shows to keep all the family entertained this year.
Kickstart the festive season with Rhythm of the Dance Christmas Special at the Congress on Friday 25 November. A festive journey with the magic of Christmas is promised alongside all your favourite festive songs performed by world class musicians, star vocalists and world champion Irish dancers.
Smash hit musical production The Elvis Years at Christmas takes the stage at the Congress on Thursday 8 December and on Saturday 10 December, Rob Lamberti will celebrate the songs and music of the legendary George Michael at Christmas – again at the Congress.
Eastbourne’s traditional pantomime Aladdin begins its month long run at the Devonshire Park Theatre on Friday 9 December. The hugely popular show features all the usual panto magic audiences love and sees the return of favourites Tucker and Martyn Knight along with Katherine Glover as Aladdin and Miles Western as evil Abanazaar. There are two performances most days until its final show on Sunday 15 January.
It’s also showtime at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre with Jack & the Beanstalk, a giant of a pantomime filled with fun and music. The run kicks off on Monday 12 December and continues through the festive period up until 2 January 2023.
The festive spirit continues to flow with the That'll Be the Day Christmas Show for two performances at the Congress on 15 & 16 December, while the Len Phillips Swing Orchestra & Singers stage A Swingin' Christmas on Sunday 18 December at the Congress.
A perfect festive outing for the whole family and friends, experience an immersive magical journey alongside the heart-warming tale of The Snowman, screened with a live orchestra - guaranteed to charm the entire audience! Screened at the Congress Theatre, there are two shows at 3pm and 6pm on Tuesday 20 December.
The Grove Theatre below Eastbourne Central Library is hosting Jingle the Elf’s Christmas Magic Show on 20 and 21 December. Filled with laughs and Christmas magic, Jingle reveals the magic of how the toys are made and delivered to all of the children in this one-hour show. Suitable for children over the age of three years old.
