À propos de
Play Interact Explore is an exhibition of interactive artworks by Leap Then Look. Everything in the exhibition is designed to be interactive in some way and we encourage you to spend time in the space and explore all of the possibilities that are available to you: to look in different ways, create sculptures, take photographs, move things around, get in front of the projection, rock, roll, stack and play.
Through a series of interactive workshops with four community groups in Eastbourne and Brighton, Leap Then Look has worked with participants to explore, test and develop creative strategies and ideas with the hope of creating a lively, exciting and curiosity-filled space that will support and encourage visitors of all types to take part in playful exploration and critical thought through art making.
We are extremely grateful to everyone who has taken part in the project including children and adults from West Rise Junior School, Arts in Mind, Downs View Link college for young people with special educational needs and disabilities, and the Brighton and Hove Foster Service, whose generosity, enthusiasm and openness has made the project incredibly exciting and fruitful.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a programme of workshops by four associate artists, Becky Horne, Chahine Fellahi, Eva Jonas and Pei-Chi Lee, who will be in residence in the space for a week each to respond to the exhibition and encourage others to join them.
Associate Artists:
07 to 12 February Chahine Fellahi
14 to 19 February Pei-Chi Lee
21 to 26 February Becky Horne
28 February to 05 March Eva Jonas
Play Interact Explore is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, The National Lottery Community Fund, Towner Eastbourne Brighton CCA, University of Brighton, a Communities Fund grant from Brighton & Hove City Council and West Rise Junior School.
