It’s a muggy Summer’s Day in Eastbourne and the local Community Kitchen is short staffed; can they cook 200 meals and stay on speaking terms as tempers flare and disaster strikes?
And can Eastbourne’s past step in to help? H.G. Wells, Eleanor Marx, George Meek and many others do their best; amid ship wrecks and the bombs of World War 2 falling on the town.
A cast of 50 actors, Concentus Choir, Cuckmere String Quartet, Eastbourne Silver Band and Printers Playhouse Community Choir in a specially written play with music about, and for, the town of Eastbourne.
Written by local playwright, Suzi Hopkins; the script is based on stories and memories shared by the people of Eastbourne, and the history of this unique seaside town.
