Roller Derby!
Eastbourne Roller Derby’s 2-day event will operate from not one spot, but two: Fisherman’s Green tennis court and the cage next door. This gives ERD the exciting opportunity to attract a wider audience from within the skating world, therefore increasing the visitor numbers to the beautiful town of Eastbourne.
On Saturday we have two tournaments running alongside each other on the main track in the tennis courts, the eastbourne women will be facing three south east teams and the Eastbourne men will be playing two teams. Next door in the smaller cage we have junior skaters taking part in their own tournament.
On Sunday on the main track we will run a number of fun mixed games, expect to see some showboating and revisiting of friendly rivalries.
Eastbourne Extreme is Europe’s only outdoor roller derby event and has always drawn a substantial crowd. Skaters, referees, non-skating officials and supporters from around the world will congregate in Eastbourne.
